Good news, "Legend of Zelda" fans! Nintendo and Sony have shared who will play the main characters in the new live-action movie. This film is set to come out in 2027.

Shigeru Miyamoto, a famous person from Nintendo, announced it. He said that Bo Bragason will play Princess Zelda. And Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will play Link.

Bo Bragason is an actress from Britain. You might have seen her in shows like "Three Girls" or "Renegade Nell." She was also in a movie called "The Radleys."

Benjamin Evan Ainsworth is also from England. He was in "The Haunting of Bly Manor" and was the voice of Pinocchio in the 2022 movie. He also worked on Netflix shows like "The Sandman."

The movie's director is Wes Ball, who made "The Maze Runner" films. Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad are producing it. The movie's release date was moved a little, from March to May 7, 2027.

Many people are excited about this movie, especially after the "Super Mario Bros. Movie" did so well. Nintendo and Sony want to make more movies based on their video games.

Now, there was a lot of talk about another actress, Hunter Schafer, playing Princess Zelda. Many fans really wanted her for the role because they thought she'd be perfect. They even started online campaigns. Hunter Schafer herself said she would love to play Zelda in an interview.

However, even with all the support, Hunter Schafer was not chosen for the role. While some fans might be a little sad, they're still excited for the movie and hope to see her in other projects.
